Wesley Anderson Memorial Scholarship

Wesley Anderson worked for the City of Olympia as a traffic signal electrician. In addition, he built Lazy Acres, Foster Place and Velkommen Mobile Home Park all off Israel Road, now 70th. In 1984, Wes went out for his morning run and never returned, hit and killed by a drunk driver.
His family would like to honor him by offering this memorial scholarship to a graduate of the Tumwater School District who best demonstrates their ability to reach their goal of becoming a successful entrepreneur/business owner.
CRITERIA
- Applicants must be graduating seniors of the Tumwater School District.
- Applicant may attend a two year, four year, technical, or private college.
- Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Applicant must complete a Tumwater Education Foundation Scholarship Application.
- Recipient must demonstrate how he/she plans to achieve the goal of becoming a successful entrepreneur/business owner.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Applicants must complete a Tumwater Education Foundation Scholarship application, along with the following supplemental information.
- In 750-1,000 words describe the type of business you would like to create and why. As well as what activities, if any, you have engaged in that demonstrates your entrepreneurial abilities.
